Case On Sakshi in Kurnool Over High Court Bench

A case has been filed against the Sakshi editor and staff at Kurnool’s Two Town police station. The report published on November 8 questioned whether the plan to set up High Court benches in A, B, and C camps under district limits was Minister TG Bharat’s call or the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision.

Lawyer Ganesh Singh filed the complaint, stating that the article defamed Minister TG Bharat and could provoke employees and the public. He requested action against the edition editor and the staff responsible for publishing the piece.

The CI of Two Town confirmed that a case has been registered and the investigation is underway. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chandrababu Naidu is moving forward with a High Court Bench in Kurnool.

Kurnool holds geographical importance in the Rayalaseema region, and the plan aims to make judicial access easier for people. It also supports Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to improve a region many believe has been neglected for years.
