All that hype of the final judgement in Satyam Case is busted after the Nampally CBI court deferred the judgement till April 9th. All the accused in the case including Ramalinga Raju attended the court proceedings today. And the security was beefed up in the court surroundings in anticipation of final judgement.
This is the second instance of final judgement getting postponed in this case. Last time it was deferred till a month’s time and this time again for one more month. Last time huge paperwork forced the postponement while this time it is the lawyers’ strike in the city. The judge ordered all the lawyers to be present on April 9th for the final judgement.
The Special court trying Satyam cases examined 226 witnesses and perused 3187 marked documents during its trial. It may be reminded that Ramalinga Raju, once the poster boy of Indian IT industry confessed to fudging Satyam’s accounts to the tune of Rs.7,136 crore in January 2009.
