Finally Supreme Court sprang in to action regarding Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation issue. Hearing the arguments of the petitioners, the Apex court had asked Center to respond in 4 weeks regarding on which basis the state bifurcation is done. SC had also forwarded the bill to constitutional experts to look in to any possible constitutional violations in it.
However the court had refused to issue stay on the bifurcation. Supreme Court had been declining to interfere in state bifurcation issue for several times since the issue began. The court had been telling that it can not interfere in a legislative issue in consideration time and asked the petitioners to come back at the right now. Finally today petitions of 15 different parties were taken up. Former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, MPs Sabbam Hari, Undavalli Arun Kumar, Rayapati Samba Siva Rao and BJP leader Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju are among those who knocked the door of courts.
