Sec 8 to come with or with out KCR’s Approval

governor narasimhan KCR Reports are emerging that Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi advised the Governor to send a draft notification of Section 8 of the AP Organisation Act to Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and ask him for his views. The inputs of the Chief Minister will be incorporated at Governor’s discretion.

In case the Telangana Chief Minister failed to respond in three days of receiving the notice, the Governor will issue the notification and will have the final say. Once the notification is issued, the Governor will have the power not only to direct the officers and employees of Government of Telangana, but he may direct the government itself once Section 8 comes in to force.

On the other side, Telangana MP Vinod says that the Attorney General can not advise the Governor to monitor the Cash for vote scam and only Government of India or the President can do so. He went on to say implementation of Sec 8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act is situational and requires consent of Council of Ministers of Telangana.
