The counting began this morning and TDP candidate, Sugunamma was leading by a whopping 1,01,600 votes after the 16th round. Three more rounds are to be counted. A sensational 1.2 Lakh is on cards which means it is going to be a sensational victory for the ruling party.

The bypoll was necessitated due to the sudden demise of sitting TDP MLA Venkataramana. Usually it is a custom for other parties not to put up a candidate in the bypoll when a sitting MLA has passed away and his/her kin is contesting. While YSR Congress cooperated to the custom, Congress party put up its candidate. However the party is going to lose its deposit now bagging a big shame.

Congress Party which divided the state paying a deaf ear to Seema Andhra regions paid price to that by drawing a blank in the Assembly and Parliament elections. The party has contested two bielections since then (both TDP seats) to some how sneak in to the Assembly but got disappointed once again. PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy already got ‘Rigging’ allegations on the ruling party but no one will buy such arguments from the losing side.
