After the arrival of the Revanth Reddy government in Telangana, the food safety authorities have been particular about hygiene standards of several restaurants across the city.

However, the series of inspections till now have largely been confined to reprimands and warnings regarding the hygiene conditions. But now the authorities have taken much more severe action and rightly so as well.

Apparently, the food safety authorities in Hyderabad have seized this legendary biryani outlet in the old city area. It is reported that the legendary Shahdab biryani, which is one of the iconic locations in the city has been seized by the authorities.

Apparently, this place did not have adequate food hygiene standards and they repeatedly faced complaints of using expired products in food preparation. Subsequently, the food safety authorities have reportedly seized this outlet effective immediately.

Earlier, this facility faced road encroachment, action as certain portions of the building were taken down by the municipal authorities. Now the food safety authorities have been called to action as they have seized this property.

If this is the kind of enforcement that food safety officials are going to enforce the city, then there could be several hotels that could face severe consequences in the days to follow.

This is great news to the people of the city as the rest of the hotels will be forced to implement good hygiene conditions, at least out of fear.
