It is known that Telangana government has planned a big pharma city in Ranga Reddy district. Earlier officials have identified 2746 acres of government land near Muchcherla. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with few pharma industry biggies conducted an aerial survey in that area and finalized the spot for the Pharma City.
However in a major disappointment revenue officials have found that 460 acres of the proposed 2746 acres are not found. Only 2286 acres of governemnt lands are present there. Also in those 2286 acres, 381 acres belong to private persons, 282 acres are assigned lands. If we minus all those, only 1623 acres are available there which will not be feasible for the pharma city construction.
It is said that there are other lands (of different survey numbers) near Muchcherla and forest lands in Mahabubnagar which may now be used for Pharma city construction. But the CM is said to be disappointed as the work has to now begin again from the start.
