Shocker: Virginia Teacher Shot by 6-Yr-Old Fired

We reported in January 2023 that a 6-year-old boy opened fire in his elementary school classroom in Virginia. He shot his 25-year-old teacher, who was seriously injured. The incident left everyone, the locals and authorities, in a state of dismay.

Now what is even more shocking is that the teacher, Abby Zwerner, has been fired from her job by the school authorities.

An email from the Human Resources Department confirmed her separation from the school system, leading Zwerner and her attorney to believe she was fired on June 12. The school system claims Zwerner had resigned in March.

Zwerner’s attorney alleges that she has not been paid since February and accuses the school system of pressuring her due to a lawsuit they filed.

Zwerner has filed a $40 million lawsuit against the school board and former school administrators. Several employees have resigned from the school since the shooting incident.
