NTR Soon on 100-Rupee Coin!

After paying homage to her father’s samadhi at NTR Ghat, Daggubati Purandeswari, NTR’s daughter and former Union Minister, said that the image of the late NTR will be very soon on a 100-rupee coin and that they are in talks with the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) about this.

Purandeswari also added that from today to May 28 next year, NTR centenary grand celebrations would be held. According to her, 12 commemoration centers had been identified in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. She said that the festivities will take place at these centers. She further claimed that two mega events would be held, one in Hyderabad and the other in Vijayawada.

Late NTR’s son, actor, and Hindupur MLA Balakrishna also paid tributes to his legendary father. He garlanded the statues of NTR and Basavatarakam. Balakrishna also promised to turn NTR’s birth place, Nimmakuru, into a tourist spot.
