Former MP Sujana Chowdary was a key man in TDP during 2014-19. However, he quit the party after the elections and joined BJP. Despite being in the BJP, he supported the Amaravati movement financially and legally.
The buzz is that Sujana wants to contest for Vijayawada Parliament in the upcoming elections. Being a Kamma – a dominant community in the constituency and the advantage of supporting Amaravati’s agitation are his plus points.
But then, it makes no sense to contest from the BJP. It looks like the BJP will not join the alliance of TDP and Janasena.
In such a case, Sujana has to join TDP to get the ticket. But then, it will only draw criticism for him and the party.
The party will be under pressure not to give tickets to someone who left when in trouble and is coming back before the elections.
At the same time, there is Kesineni Chinni who has been working on the ground in Vijayawada for a long time. It is not fair to deny him the ticket.
Let us see what Chandrababu Naidu decides!
