The accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy‘s murder case, including Sivashankar Reddy, YS Bhaskar Reddy, and MP YS Avinash Reddy, are trying to corner Viveka’s daughter Sunitha and her husband. Their counsel argued this in the Nampally CBI Court.
He claimed that considering the circumstances, suspicion should fall on Narreddy Sunitha. He pointed out that hired killer Sheikh Dastagiri is moving freely, while those facing charges are living away from their families. He insisted that Sunitha is not a victim.
The counsel also raised doubts about Narreddy Sunitha and Narreddy Rajasekhar Reddy. He mentioned financial issues, family disputes, and allegations linked to Viveka’s second marriage. He said even a person with limited knowledge might suspect Sunitha.
He argued that Sunitha acted in favour of Sheikh Dastagir and did not oppose his bail. He said she is demanding changes to the FSL report without any new evidence. He added that agreeing to her demands would delay the trial for years.
Sunitha filed a petition in the CBI special court seeking a deeper investigation. The accused are trying to push the blame onto her and stretch the case. This raised an important point in the matter.
Those involved in a crime usually try to stall the investigation. They avoid any further probe to escape trouble. If Sunitha and her husband were involved, they would not push for a detailed investigation.
No one except Sunitha is fighting for justice for Viveka. If she remained silent, the case could have been closed long ago. This makes the argument against her less convincing.
As for Dastgir’s bail, it works under the principle of justice. An accused who turns approver gets legal immunity. If Sunitha opposes his bail, he might turn hostile. This would damage the case against the actual perpetrators.
