Supreme Court Keeps AP Govt Away from RRR Case

Supreme Court has given key orders in MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju‘s alleged torture in police custody. The MP will be taken to Army Hospital Secunderabad. This will be treated as judicial custody. Telangana High Court will nominate a judicial officer who will be with the Petitioner during the examination.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary is directed to carry out the order and the Registrar General of Telangana High Court will ensure compliance. The entire examination will be video graphed and the medical reports are to be submitted to the Court in a sealed cover.

The next hearing of the case will happen on May 21st. The Supreme Court has ensured that the facts will be ascertained in the alleged police brutality without the involvement of the Andhra Pradesh Government. It has to be seen what the Army hospital certifies in this case now.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will also hear the bail petition of Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju on coming Friday.
