Naidu’s Long-Awaited Case Gone in Just One Minute

The Supreme Court has quashed the Review Petition of 21 Opposition Parties including TDP demanding that 50% of the VVPAT Slips to be counted. The bench headed by the Chief Justice of India refused to look into the issue and quashed it.

Chandrababu Naidu, Farooq Abdullah, Kapil Sibal, AB Bardhan and other leaders have themselves attended the Court Hearing. Interestingly, the hearing lasted less than One Minute. That implies the Supreme Court’s earlier ruling of Counting 5% VVPAT Slips will stay on at least for this General Elections.

Earlier the Election Commission of India has informed the Court that the Counting of 50% VVPAT Slips will take 6 Days of Time for the Counting which will create more problems. But the Opposition is not buying the argument because in the Previous days of Ballot Papers Counting, the Counting finished in a day or day and a half.
