YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy got a shock from Supreme Court. The Apex Court refused to give anticipatory bail to him in the AP liquor scam case.
The Court also refused to give time for surrender. The request for anticipatory bail was dismissed. On the other hand, SIT officials have sought warrant from Vijayawada Court, to arrest Mithun Reddy.
SIT has already started checks in places where Mithun Reddy could be and are proceeding legally to arrest him. It has to be noted that the anticipatory bail petition by Mithun Reddy has been dismissed in Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Following this, the Supreme Court dismissed Mithun Reddy’s bail petition on Friday. Also, as mentioned earlier, SIT filed a petition seeking his arrest in the AP High Court.
This has led to hot debate in AP political circles. Right now, Mithun Reddy is said to be absconding. However, talk is he could be arrested anytime soon.
The Rs 3200 crore liquor scam has seen multiple arrests already. Raj Kasireddy and Mithun Reddy were found to be the key players in the scam. Raj Kasireddy is already in jail along with other accused.
