The political landscape within TDP appears to be different from the ruling YSRCP. TDP has confirmed all the candidates who stayed with the party after the 2019 elections.
Despite winning 23 Assembly segments in 2019, four of them joined YSRCP. Aadireddy Bhavani, elected to the AP Assembly from Rajahmundry Urban, has been kept away from the election. TDP plans to give the ticket to her husband Vasu to contest in her place.
There are rumors circulating about the contesting segment of TDP Senior Leader Buchaiah Chowdary, who was elected from Rajahmundry Rural. If Jena Sena demands this segment as part of the alliance, Buchaiah might shift to another segment like Rajanagaram.
While the ticket for Buchaiah is guaranteed, the dilemma lies in determining the specific segment where he will contest. Another leader, Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, elected from Vizag North, is interested in contesting from Bhimili.
According to sources, TDP has confirmed tickets for two out of four MLAs who joined from YSRCP. Sridhar Reddy will contest from Nellore Rural, while Anam might get either Aathmakur or Sarvepally.
If Sarvepally is assigned to Anam, Somireddy will be the candidate for Nellore Parliament. TDP is considering fielding Vundavalli Sridevi from the Bapatla Parliament constituency. The real political scenario will become clearer after announcing the alliance with JenaSena.
