After TDP President Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Delhi to meet Amit Shah, there have been changes in the calculations and seat-sharing arrangements between TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP.
Amit Shah reportedly stated openly that TDP would soon join the NDA. This has led to a reconsideration of numbers and sharing calculations among the three parties.
Considering the last election statistics, BJP did not secure a single Assembly segment in the state.
However, recognizing the potential importance of BJP’s support to the state in the future, TDP is reportedly willing to form an alliance with BJP. According to sources, TDP has agreed to allocate 4 Parliament segments and 8 Assembly segments to BJP.
The agreement is said to be conditional, with TDP having a say in deciding the BJP MP candidates.
TDP and Jana Sena cadre are reportedly willing to support Purandreswari, Nallari Kiran Kumar, and Kothapalli Geetha.
However, there seems to be resistance against supporting GVL, who is reportedly considering contesting from Visakhapatnam. The evolving dynamics in these alliances suggest strategic considerations for the upcoming elections.
