Parliament Feels Special Status Heat

TDP MPs barring the Central ministers staged a protest at Gandhi Statue in Parliament demanding for the Special Status and incentives to Andhra Pradesh.

They have shouted slogans against the central government’s insensitivity towards the state. Later the MPs have protested in both the houses of the Parliament as well.

Despite the several requests by the Speaker, the MPs did not relent. The Speaker is conducting the Question Hour amid the ruckus. YSR Congress MPs barged in to the Speaker’s well but relented after Speaker’s warning. On the other side, Prime Minister’s Office is yet to confirm the appointment to TDP MPs.
