YSR Congress Party leader Chevireddy Mohith Reddy was recently arrested by the police at Bengaluru Airport for his alleged connection with the attack against current Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani during elections.
Later, Mohit Reddy was released on station bail under (41A) on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, his father and Chandragiri’s former MLA, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, took to social media to vent his angst about this arrest.
Bhaskar Reddy said that his 25-year-old son, who pursued higher education abroad, was arrested in an illegal case.
“My son who studied abroad is being prepared for street fighting. Thanks to Chandrababu.” he wrote.
“I grew up involved in agitations right from my student life. More than me, my son will stand for people and show this government and police department how public agitations will be. We are fully prepared to fight for the people,” he went on to add.
People on social media found it amusing to see a YCP leader talking about standing on people’s side.
Meanwhile, Ponnur TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar’s daughter, Vydeepthi Dhulipalla, gave a befitting reply to Chevireddy in the most mature manner.
She said that three years ago, when she was 23, her father was also unlawfully arrested due to the vindictive politics of the former YCP government.
“We don’t need to flaunt foreign degrees to prove our worth. It’s not about where we study, but the values we uphold. I wish you realized the pain many of us suffered under the previous government,” she went on to add.
In an age where leaders wage verbal war against each other, Vydeepthi chose a dignified path to take down Chevireddy. That shows her maturity levels.
Netizens were also impressed by the way she responded to Chevireddy’s statements and lauded her for the same.
Three years ago, I was 23 and studying in the U.S. when my father @DhulipallaNk was unjustly arrested due to your party’s vindictive politics. We don’t need to flaunt foreign degrees to prove our worth. It’s not about where we study, but the values we uphold. I wish you realized… https://t.co/OtqAt5o5iQ
