TDP So Different From TDP Supporters!

TDP Party

BRS which won Telangana two times on a trot lost the recent elections. Revanth Reddy has become the Chief Minister and there were political findings that TDP voters played a crucial role in the Government change.

But it looks like TDP leadership is not ready to own Congress via Revanth Reddy or dismiss BRS yet.

Lokesh was asked about TDP’s role in the Telangana elections and about Revanth Reddy.

“Not just Revanth Reddy, KCR is also a product of TDP. We could not concentrate on the Telangana elections because of Chandrababu’s arrest and so did not contest the election. The local units of TDP have made their own decisions as per the local conditions in each constituency. In some places, BRS got benefited and in some places, Congress got benefitted. We did not make any announcement,” Lokesh said.

When asked specifically if TDP played a role in KCR’s defeat, Lokesh said he did not have time to track Telangana elections.

Further, he also spoke well about KTR.

“Our differences are political. I was disappointed with his comments on protests that followed after Chandrababu’s arrest. But we continue to have good relations. I called him when I saw a video in which he fell from a campaign vehicle. I have good relations with Ram even today,” Lokesh said.

While the TDP cadre celebrated Revanth Reddy’s victory as their own, TDP leadership chose to respond to it carefully.

It looks like TDP is not writing down BRS yet and also wants to maintain equidistance between Congress and BRS for now.

We have seen Chandrababu skipping Revanth Reddy’s Swearing-in ceremony as well and only wished him on Twitter.
