TDP: Tough Fight For Those Six Tickets

TDP-Bheemili-Cheepurupalli-Darshi-Aloor-Razampet-Anantapur

A total of six contestants are left to be announced by the Telugu Desam Party for the upcoming elections of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are yet to be announced for Bheemili, Cheepurupalli, Darshi, Aloor, Razampet, and Anantapur Urban.

Former Minister Ghanta Srinivasa Rao wants to contest from the Bheemili constituency. But Chandrababu Naidu wants him to contest from Cheepurupalli.

Another former Minister Kala Venkatrao has been trying for the Cheepurupalli ticket as the Echerla seat has been given to the BJP.

Meanwhile, as the Nellimarla ticket has been given to the Jana Sena, that constituency’s TDP in charge Bangarraju is vying for the Bheemili constituency. Thus, two among Ghanta, Bangarraju, and Kala Venkatrao would secure Bheemili and Cheepurupalli tickets.

Meanwhile, TDP is planning to take the Vizianagaram Lok Sabha ticket from the BJP and give Razampet’s seat in exchange. If that happens, Kala Venkatrao’s name might be in consideration for the Vizianagaram Lok Sabha ticket.

Former Minister Shiddha Raghavarao promised to shift to the TDP if he is offered the Darshi ticket. However, a few sections within the party don’t want him to get that ticket. They want the ticket to be given to Shiddha’s daughter-in-law.

Veerabhadra Goud, Vaikuntam Mallikarjuna, and his brother’s wife Jyothi’s names are in consideration for the Aloor constituency.

Gummanuru Jayaram, who shifted from the YCP, has a high chance of securing the Guntakal ticket. However, the party is also considering former MLA Jintenra Goud for this constituency.

Former MLA Prabhakar Chowdary and a few others are vying for Anantapur Urban ticket. Chantall Rayudu and Jagan Mohan Raju are in contention for the Razampet ticket.
