Telugu Desam Party has started its attempts to expand its sway towards the other states in South India where there is a significant Telugu population. The party had launched the TDP forum website for Tamil Nadu recently in the presence of party workers from Salem, Coimbatore, Tiruchy, Madurai and Chennai. The party is also gearing up to start a membership drive in all the areas of Tamil Nadu very soon.
TDP Supremo Chandra Babu Naidu is keen to make the party a National Party before the next elections. TDP is a recognized State party in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Chandra Babu wants to expand the party’s services to all the states where there is a size-able Telugu population.
TDP is planning to enter alliances with other parties in few states and contest in constituencies where there are more Telugu people. Chandra Babu very soon will form as a committee with party seniors who will probe in to all the options available. The first immediate targets may be Karnataka and Tamil Nadu where there is more Telugu populations.
