Team India Takes An Unassailable Lead in Test Championship

Team India trounced Bangladesh in the first test at Indore. The team managed to win the Test by an innings and 130 runs. The test match is over in less than three days making it a comprehensive victory. With this win, Team India registered a whopping 300 points in ICC World Test Championship.

Team India won all the Six matches it played so far. The second in the table is New Zealand which just managed 60 point which means Team India is much ahead. The championship started from 1st August 2019 with the first Test of the 2019 Ashes series and will finish with a final at Lord’s in England in June 2021.

The Top-2 teams will play the final at the Lord’s. In the case of a draw or a tie in the final, the two teams playing the final will be declared joint champions. Each team will play with six other opponents, three at home and three away. Each series will consist of between two and five Test matches.

On the other side, the second test between India and Bangladesh will begin from the 22nd of this month. It is the first-ever Day and Night test for both the teams and will be played in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
