In a recent development, it appears that former MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy is preparing to join the Congress, causing a surprise to the BRS party. Teegala Krishna Reddy, along with his daughter-in-law Teegala Anita Reddy, reportedly had a confidential meeting with AICC in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray and TPCC chief Revanth Reddy.

There are rumors circulating that Teegala Krishna Reddy, who has held a leadership position in the BRS for several years, will soon join the Congress. After the Khammam Sabha, the Congress party has been actively welcoming new members.

However, there was a temporary pause in the recruitment process following a verbal clash between BRS and Congress leaders over the electricity issue. Nonetheless, it appears that the Congress party has once again shifted its focus towards expanding its membership. Rahul Gandhi has reportedly suggested promoting inclusivity and strengthening the party.

As part of these efforts, the Congress party continues to hold meetings with leaders from various parties and engage in discussions regarding new additions. There is speculation that several individuals from the ruling BRS party are inclined to join the Congress. In particular, Teegala Krishna Reddy and his daughter-in-law are expected to join the party.

Teegala Krishna Reddy reportedly has a dispute with Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy over contesting from the Maheswaram segment. In the 2018 elections, Sabitha defeated Teegala as the Congress nominee by a margin of over 8,000 votes. Later, Sabitha switched to the BRS party.

Following these political changes in Maheswaram, Teegala has been exploring other opportunities, including the possibility of joining the Congress, in order to secure his political future. Teegala Anitha Reddy who elected as BRS ZPTC is likely to follow his father-in-law.
