The Election Commission of India had announced the schedule of Telangana Assembly elections. The polling will occur on November 30th and the counting will occur on December 3rd. The results will be out on the same day.
The notification will be out on November 3rd and the model code of conduct will come into force immediately.
November 10th is the last date for accepting Nominations and the Nominations scrutiny will occur on November 13th.
The candidates will be allowed to withdraw until November 15th.
KCR will be looking for a hattrick this time and BRS is at the forefront of all parties by finalizing most of the candidates by now. Both Congress and BJP are yet to reveal their first lists.
BJP which initially appeared charged lost steam after the change of Party’s President. Congress was enthusiastic after Karnataka’s victory but could not build the momentum.
BJP high command, however, tried to give a push to the party with PM Modi’s announcement of the Turmeric Board and Tribal University.
