Telangana filling its coffers with liquor!

Liquor bringing Great Fortunes to Telangana!Liquor Sale is helping Telangana big time in filling its coffers after the state formation. The state had amassed 7393.85 Crore income from liquor between July 2014 and February this year. The income during the same season in 2013-14 is 6855.39 Crore which means an increase of 540 Crore income.

On an average, 8% improvement in income is seen across the state while Karimnagar, Warangal and Nizamabad districts registered more than 10% improvement. The sale of Beer has increased by 17%

It is also revealed that the sale of Premium brand liquor which attracts more excise duty has increased and is one of the major reasons for increase in the income. The sale of premium liquor improved by 15.6% in Medak, 10.3% in Warangal, 9.43% in Adilabad and 8.18% in Khammam.With the increase of Premium brand liquor, it is revealed that people are slowly moving towards costly liquor decreasing the risk of fake liquor erc.
