A case of sexual assault has been registered against Telangana Folk Singer and Cultural Committee employee Mallik Tej. The case was filed based on a complaint from a fellow female folk singer at the Jagityal police station.
The woman has alleged that Mallik Tej repeatedly raped her, luring her with false promises. According to the victim, he also blackmailed her and continuously subjected her to harassment over the phone.
The victim further mentioned in her complaint that Mallik verbally abused her and her family members. Additionally, she accused him of mentally harassing her by changing the passwords of her YouTube channel and Instagram account. She also reported that he assaulted her multiple times in his studio.
This incident is part of a growing trend of sexual assault allegations against social media personalities.
Recently, another popular YouTuber, Harsha Sai, faced similar rape accusations.
Similarly, choreographer Jani Master is currently under investigation for rape charges and is in the custody of the Narsingi police.
The police have initiated an investigation into the claims against Mallik Tej, and further action is expected as the probe progresses.
