Telangana gears up for one more survey!

After the intensive household survey, Telangana state gears up for one more survey – The Comprehensive Land Survey in the state. In this survey the land in all the districts of Telangana except Hyderabad and Nizamabad will be identified and the records will be digitized. These records will be kept in all the Mandal Headquarters and will be available to the public. The survey will cost 265 Crores out of which 150 Crores will be funded by Central Rural Development Ministry.

This survey will identify the government lands as well as solve several lakhs of land disputes. This survey and the digitization of records will take 2-4 years. Telangana government is gearing to call tenders for the survey very soon. The survey of Hyderabad and other urban areas is not possible under this scheme. So the government is planning to apply for Urban Development Ministry for the survey in these areas.
