telangana-high-court Gives Bail in Phone Tapping Case

The High Court has given conditional bail to two key accused in Phone Tapping case.

The two accused Task Force ex DCP Radhakishan Rao and Additional SP Bhujanga Rao have been given bail by the Telangana High Court.

The HC laid out a condition that the accused will have to pay Rs 1 lakh in sureties. The Court also asked both of them to submit their passports.

It is known that a lot of vital information came out of the statement given by Bhujanga Rao. It was also found that DCP Radhakishan was involved in phone tapping of politicians during election time.

The accused had approached Nampally Court for bail twice. But both times, it was rejected. The accused then approached the High Court.

They claimed that they spent 10 months in jail due to which their health was affected. The HC took note of their health condition and granted bail.

As the case is in progress, the HC directed the accused not to influence the other witnesses which could lead to severe measures.




To stop the accused from going abroad, the Court asked them to submit their passports. The Court also directed both of them to appear for questioning when need be. While Radhakishan is out on anticipatory bail, Bhujanga Rao will be out following HC’s decision.
