Mallanna Sagar Controversy Takes a New Turn

Telangana government claims the state as the second wealthiest state in the country but then the ground realities look different. It is emerging that the Mallanna Sagar Land Acquisition took a new turn as the cheques given by the government as compensation to the land losing farmers are getting bounced.

The Opposition Parties are ridiculing the government’s mismanagement of state finances and are demanding a white paper on the state financial condition. But then the TRS leaders are saying that the cheques have got bounced due to a technical issue that arose because of the districts reorganization that took place recently.

Mallanna Sagar Project Land Acquisition is the first biggest headache for KCR since he came to power two years ago. Opposition parties are raking up the issue big time as they see this as an opportunity to corner the government and make their presence felt. Even as the government tried to silence the farmers, this cheque bounce issue created a new headache.
