Telangana Survey intention to decide nativity?

Telangana government has changed the format of Micro Level Survey which is going to take place across all the districts of Telangana state on 19th of this month. In this new format, the government is said to have included fields which ask for the details of the family members and native state. The survey will also ask for the details like how many years back a family settled in Telangana, what are the properties they acquired here etc.

While the Telangana government is telling that this Survey is intended to decide the eligible people for various welfare schemes, the other intention is to decide the nativity of the population across Telangana. This nativity will decide the exact number of Telangana natives and the settlers. This data may be later used for KCR’s pet project ‘Welfare scheme benefits only to those families living in Telangana before 1956, the year the United State came in to existence.
