Telugu Desam Party In ‘Pawan Kalyan’ Trap!

Telugu Desam Party was on a high in March when the MLC election results came up. Winning two seats and one in the Rayalaseema region was a sensation. And then, the way the party pulled off a blinder to win the MLA-quota MLC election has surprised everyone.

Yuva Galam Padyatra and Chandrababu’s district tours further energized the cadre.

This was the best phase of TDP after the 2019 defeat. But Pawan Kalyan came as a break to all this. The issue of alliance came up and it gave a chance to YSR Congress to divert the public memory.

And then, TDP and its supporting media have this worst habit of giving space to Pawan Kalyan whenever he hits the ground. This time Pawan Kalyan stayed a little long on the ground making things worse.

Further, his inconsistent statements on the alliance further complicated things.

YSR Congress was able to create an environment that TDP is desperate to have an alliance to stand a chance. At the same time, fake surveys were planted to show YSRCP is super strong.

Now, the next step would be the announcement of the first list of candidates on Dussehra. If Jagan makes this move, it will hit the morale of the Opposition really hard.

At the same time, the readiness of TDP on the front is doubtful because there is no clarity on the alliances’ part. If Jagan pulls out the first list like KCR, Chandrababu will be at the receiving end for sure.

In conclusion, TDP has to realize that Pawan Kalyan has become a liability. It has fallen into a trap woven by Pawan Kalyan due to his instability and Jagan with I-PAC strategies.
