Telugu Politics Do Not Even Spare the Rain Gods

Politics are going beyond rationale and is leading people in to the quagmire of fake beliefs and sentiments. Back then, when YS Rajasekhara Reddy was alive, he used to say Rain Gods have joined the Congress Party. He even went on to say Chandrababu Naidu has got an ‘Iron Leg’ and so rains will not fall in his tenure leading to drought.

Later, YSR Congress also took this tune but are suddenly silenced with the torrential rains hitting the state this season. This year, there is already abundant rain and the reservoirs are full to the brim which will help for the next year as well. No one really has the answer now if the Rain God also did the Party Change.

Things are not very different in Telangana. The Torrential Rains have come up after two years of drought in the newest state of the country and after record number of farmers suicides. The Ruling Party leaders have started the campaign that these rains are due to the Chandi Yagam conducted by the Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao.

But then, only previous governments are responsible for the roads battered due to heavy rains and some colonies getting flooded. When someone ask if the Yagam is also responsible for the distress to some areas, no one will have the answers or we will get to see some very creative answers. We can only hope that Politicians and Political Parties spare at least the Rain Gods in Politics.
