Generally, there is a certain social etiquette and clothing pattern that must be followed while meeting with the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi.
Incidentally, it was the return of Tamil Nadu chief minister Thalapathy Vijay to do the same yesterday as he happened to meet with Prime Minister.
Shortly, after this meeting between Prime Minister and Vijay, a parallel discussion opened up on social media regarding the clothing choice of Vijay.
There were multiple social media posts about Vijay did not follow the proper clothing mechanism while meeting the Prime Minister as he appeared to even disobey Modi. It was said that Vijay intentionally opened the top buttons of his shirt while meeting Modi.
Reacting on this matter, a social media user commented “Joseph Vijay travelled to Delhi for his first Official Meeting with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
While Meeting the Prime Minister, His button was open and his Vest (Baniyan) was visible. Is this the way you meet a PM of the Nation? Has Vijay forgotten all the ethics and Etiquettes? Is he meeting a Movie Director or a Head of the state?”
This has become a whole new discussion and itself on social media as people are questioning the clothing choice of Vijay.
However, it must be noted that this is the first time that Vijay is holding such a position of power, and also this happens to be the first meeting with Prime Minister. There will be a certain mismanagements and protocol errors along the way. This might even be his standard clothing choice.
But at the same time, Vijay must keep in mind that there are bigger things at play when meeting the Prime Minister and needs to act accordingly.
