YSRCP is making a laughing stock of itself by not being firm on the issue of three capitals. It’s member Botsa Satyanarayana was asked about their latest stand on 3 capitals that the YSRCP batted for in the past 5 years.
But it’s members are now unclear about the party’s stand. Of course, now any talk of 3 capitals appears to be useless as the ruling NDA is clear about its priorities and is working with the sole objective of developing Amaravati as a world-class capital city.
It is known that Jagan and his government stalled all the works in Amaravati as they wanted three capitals for decentralization of power, or so they said.
The YSRCP wanted to develop Vizag as the executive capital, Amaravati as the legislative capital and Kurnool as the judiciary capital. It is interesting to note that none of the three places were developed in the five years when YCP was in term.
They also stalled all work in Amaravati despite labeling it as the legislative capital. In fact, it is one major factor that led to defeat of YSRCP as the Andhra people saw no capital development in 5 years.
And even if YSRCP takes a stand on 3 capitals, it is already too late to save face.
