Highly placed sources in the government revealed that Chandrababu Naidu is mulling over three different packages for the land losing farmers in the capital area. Lands close to the Krishna River will fetch 1100 yards developed land and 200 yards commercial lands. They will be also get compensation of 50000 per annum with 10% increase every year up to 10 years.
Lands receiving water from Lift irrigation projects will fetch 1100 yards of developed lands and 100 yards commercial area. Farmers losing these kind of lands will get 40000 per annum as compensation for 10 years with 10% increase every year. Finally, the remaining lands will get their owners 800 yards developed lands and 100 yards of commercial lands. They will be receiving 30000 per annum as compensation with the same 10% increase year for 10 years.
51786 acres of land is available in the first phase land pooling villages and the government is targeting to pool in 38000 acres. The government is expected to put in the ordinance regarding land pooling in the cabinet meeting on 15th of this month.
