Andhra Pradesh government had almost confirmed the 18 member Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board. Chandrababu Naidu kept his promise by making Chadalavada Krishnamurthy as the Chairman. Chandrababu promised Chadalavada the post to leave Tirupati Assembly segment to Venkataramana during 2014 elections. It was much debated if he can keep the promise as there is immense pressure from many regarding this post.
Two Telangana TDP MLAs – Sayanna, Sandra Venkata Veerayya and one Telangana BJP MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy are given place in the board. Few members from neighbouring Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are also accommodated in the board.
The Board for the Richest Temple in the country is an eye candy for several Top businessmen and politicians in the country. In order to satisfy as many as leaders possible Naidu has reduced the tenure of the board from the current two years to one year.
