According to the Economic Survey for 2025-26, the best cities to live in include two cities in Andhra Pradesh. Much to the disappointment of the other Telugu state, no city from Telangana including Hyderabad does not appear in the list.
If you are looking for the best city to live in India, then the survey says it is Pune. Maharashtra has another city coming next in Navi Mumbai. A recently developed neighborhood Navi Mumbai has seen organized development taking it to the second place.
Maharashtra also bags the third place with Greater Mumbai. The temple city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh comes fourth. Surprisingly, Chandigarh is a slot below Tirupati at number 5.
Thane from Maharashtra, a popular sub-urb of Mumbai comes sixth. Raipur from Chattisgarh is in 6th slot while Indore from Madhya Pradesh is in 7th slot.
Vijayawada comes 9th in the survey, again from Andhra Pradesh. Last but not the least, at the 10th slot comes Bhopal again from Madhya Pradesh.
The survey shows the commitment of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in focusing on created Swachandhra Pradesh and an economically forward state with growth hubs in all the three major regions of the state.
