Tollywood Singer Files Nomination In Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is caught up with the election fever and all parties have intensified their respective campaigns. Today is the last day to file nominations in the state.

This time, popular Tollywood lyricist Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao joined the polling race. He is known for his work in various successful films like Subhalagnam, Ghatotkachudu, Devi, Devi Putrudu, Vikramarkudu, Shakti, Damarukam and Duvvada Jagannatham.

Jonnavithula is contesting as an independent candidate from the Vijayawada Central assembly constituency. He filed his nomination earlier today in Vijayawada.

In his affidavit, Jonnavithula declared that he and his wife have movable assets worth Rs. 60.62 lakhs and Rs. 24.64 lakhs in their names respectively. Their immovable assets are valued at Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 99.9 lakhs respectively.

Jonnavithula declared that he took a total loan of Rs. 60,00,000 from banks. There are no liabilities in dispute and there are no criminal charges against him.

Jonnavithula has always been vocal about the political scenario in Andhra Pradesh and also revealed his plans to contest in elections long ago.

He will be contesting against YSR Congress Party’s Vellampalli Srinivas and Telugu Desam Party’s Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao.
