This is indeed a latest development. Knowing that Andhra Pradesh is run by the double-engine government of TDP and BJP, not to forget Jana Sena, YSRCP leaders seem to be regretting the decision of fighting solo in 2024 elections.
At least, that’s what one gathers from the comments of YSRCP ex MLA Nallapureddy Prasannakumar Reddy. Speaking to media, Prasannakumar Reddy said that if he gets to meet Jagan, he would put forth the proposal of forming an alliance with the BJP.

He said that YSRCP always supported BJP when BJP tabled bills in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Jagan gave Modi what he wanted, said Reddy. What is wrong with going ahead with BJP? We must align with BJP. Modi garu is a man who sticks to his word, he said.
But Prasannakumar Reddy must be forgetting that the elections happened in 2024 and the next elections will happen in 2029. Also, when Prime Minister Modi came for the relaunch of Amaravati works, he was all praise for Chandrababu Naidu. This was widely reported by national media.

Also, there are no cracks within alliance partners. Given this scenario, why would the BJP think of any alliance with YSRCP that barely managed 11 seats in 2024, say TDP insiders.
Also, if one looks back, Modi was quite clear prior to 2024 elections that BJP and YSRCP were opposition parties when it came to polls.

Either Prasannakumar Reddy is over optimistic or it is a sign of him looking at BJP as the next option, say both TDP and YSRCP insiders.
