Narsingula Bhikshapati 45 from Vangapadu village in Warangal district lost his Cotton crop thrice owing to bad rains, unable to blame any one but his tought luck Bikshapati resorted to Suicide three weeks ago. His daughter studying Engineering, school going son, ailing wife and mother are totally clueless about their future. And his daughter,Swapna is attending the college on weekdays and she will work on farms as labour in the weekends. This is not only the story of Bhikshapati, more than 100 farmers in Telangana committed suicide since this June.
While we can not blame the two months old TRS government for their plight, the disastrous thing is that the families of the dead farmers not only did not receive any assistance from the new government but also yet to get a house call from an official as an exercise in sympathy. While the state government is busy pledging Crores on brand ambassadors, they need to take some time to wipe out the tears of the suffering families.
