Since the United Andhra Pradesh days, there used to be a tradition, when a sitting MLA or MP suddenly dies when in power and when his kith or kin are contesting the by-elections, other parties should not put up a candidate and allow for the unanimous election. This tradition is being followed in truncated Andhra Pradesh even today.

However the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti wants to break this tradition in Narayanakhed. The sitting Congress MLA here Patolla Kishana Reddy recently breathed his last and that will ensure by-election here very soon. As TRS is sensing winning chances there, TRS Supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao had instructed Harish Rao to sketch for a contest here.
On expected lines, TRS is getting huge number of aspirants for this seat including Naresh Shettkar, brother of Former Congress MP, Suresh Shettkar. This by-election is likely to happen along with the Warangal Parliament by-election.The schedule may now release at any time
