KCR targeted the Congress Party completely in his speech, but did not take a single word about the BJP.
In his speech, he even mentioned TDP and Chandrababu Naidu once, but did not take the name of the BJP.

“When Chandrababu Naidu is the CM, it is shocking that the word Telangana is banned in the Assembly. Chandrababu ensured that the Speaker gave such a ruling in the house that is situated in the capital of Telangana,” KCR said.
It is surprising how KCR can not do politics in Telangana without taking Chandrababu’s name.

At the same time, Chandrababu Naidu did not take KCR or BRS’s name after coming to power in 2024. In fact, he went to the hospital and inquired about KCR’s health when the latter fell in the bathroom and had to undergo surgery.
Leaving that aside, what is this allegation of banning the word ‘Telangana’ in the State Assembly?
This is a clear manipulation. KCR resigned as the Deputy Speaker in 2001 and formed TRS.
In 2001, the Congress Working Committee sent a resolution to the then Atal Bihari Vajpayee government for constituting a second SRC to look into the Telangana state demand.
The then Union Home Minister LK Advani rejected the resolution, saying that smaller states were neither viable nor conducive to the integrity of the country.
It was then, TRS and Congress started working together.
YSR used the issue effectively to trouble the Chandrababu Naidu Government.
Even though TRS did not have a presence in the Assembly until 2004, Congress Party’s Telangana leaders would stall the Assembly proceedings, shouting ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.
The Business of the house would not happen for many days. Many issues pertaining to the state, including the Telangana region, were not discussed due to that.
It was then, the Speaker K. Prathibha Bharathi gave a ruling banning the slogans in the house.
The ban on ‘Telangana Slogans’ was twisted to suit the political agenda – “Chandrababu Naidu banned the word Telangana in the Assembly”.
The TRS and Congress friendship thus started, blooming into an alliance between both parties in 2004.
YSR became the Chief Minister, and KCR became a Union Minister.
