TS not to allow Ayyappa Mala for Police!

Telangana Government has issued a controversial directive regarding the Dress Code of the Police department in the state. The circular said that Police personnel should adhere to the strict dress code and should not take Ayyappa Deeksha while in duty.

The circular clarified that Police personnel who wish to take the deeksha should go on leave. The circular was sent to all the stations in the state. The Chief Minister’s Office has directed the District SPs and Commissioners from the DG Officers to implement this strictly and also ordered to grant leave for the whole Deeksha if any of the official wants to go ahead.

Similar rule was in place in the United State when Sabitha Indra Reddy was the Home Minister. However it was then Police in Deeksha were allowed to wear a black cloth on their uniform. But KCR even did not give such exception.
