TTK Prestige Chairman Emeritus Jagannathan passed away late Thursday night in Bengaluru. Known as the kitchen mogul of India, his passing made many recall their memories and moments with him on social media.
For over 50 years, Jagannathan served on the TTK Board. A gold medallist from IIT, he completed his Master’s from Cornell University in the US. True to his Tamil roots, he also earned a gold medal in violin.
Though he had other career plans, fate brought him back to India to revive the family business that was on the verge of collapse. Starting from scratch, he learnt every detail of the kitchen segment that shaped the Prestige Group.
With his sharp wit and vision, Jagannathan introduced the gasket release system, transforming Prestige into India’s most trusted kitchen appliance brand. His innovation reshaped customer trust and strengthened the company’s legacy.
