Going by the reliable sources in Government, there is a strong possibility of residual Andhra Pradesh to have two capitals. The Rayalaseema region is very less developed when compared to Coastal Andhra and to curb one more separatist movement in future, the idea of two capitals have sprouted.
One capital will be in Seema and other will be in Coastal Andhra. One of these will be confined to administrative purposes and other will be a financial hub. Chandra Babu Naidu is planning to advocate this idea aggressively as he wants development to be decentralized unlike how development is confined only to Hyderabad during his tenure. Currently Jammu and Kashmir is the only state to have two capitals. Srinagar is the capital in Summer and Jammu in Winter.
