It seems like Union Urban Development Minister and BJP Senior Leader Venkaiah Naidu himself entered the fray for the revival of BJP in Telangana state. Venkaiah and a team of Union Ministers including Agriculture (MOS) Minister Kanthariya and Bandaru Dattatreya are touring the rains affected Telangana districts for assessing the damage.
Interestingly, the state government remained tight lipped over this Center tour indicating that there is some thing fishy about it. Political analysts see that this tour is aimed at helping the saffron party gain some popularity in the newest state of the country.
All the opposition parties in Telangana are bogged down with the stunning majority of Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the last elections. Congress and TDP are suffering from leadership crisis in the state and so BJP high command is viewing this situation as apt for making a mark on Telangana people and become a formidable force in the state. The upcoming GHMC elections will be the litmus test in that direction.
