Prime Minister Narendra Modi has relaunched the developmental works at Amaravati on Friday afternoon. With the press of a button, he launched 74 infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 60,000 crore.
He laid foundation for Andhra Pradesh Assembly which will be 250 Mt high and will be spread across 11.22 lakh sq feet. The High Court will be 55 mt high and will be spread across 20.32 lakh sq feet. 50 floor Secretariat and 4, 42 floor HoD buildings will come up.
With 37 trunk infrastructure projects, cycle tracks and underground utilities, 320 km world class roads will be constructed. Apart from flood prevention, for water requirements of the city, 0.53 TMC water bodies for storage are planned.
1.281 km roads in 13 zones will be developed with facilities for people. 10 projects for upscale houses for judges, legislators and officials will be built.
May 2, 2025, will be remembered as the day when people’s capital Amaravati is moving forward to turn into a world-class, futuristic capital city.
