Vijaya Sai Reddy targets YS Jagan over 2029 plans
Vijaya Sai Reddy has moved from being a close supporter of YS Jaganmohan Reddy to openly criticising the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. His latest remarks have once again highlighted the growing distance between the two leaders.
In his latest interaction with the media, Vijaya Sai Reddy claimed that Jagan used his services extensively before the election and then sidelined him after coming to power. He also questioned the representation of different communities in Andhra Pradesh politics.
“I feel I was exploited by the previous administration as they utilised my services during opposition and immediately kept me aside after gaining power,” Sai Reddy said.
He further questioned the political representation of Reddy, Kapu, BC, SC and ST communities. His remarks have added another dimension to his ongoing criticism of Jagan and the YSR Congress Party.
Sai Reddy also claimed that Jagan is looking at the possibility of joining hands with the INDIA bloc ahead of the 2029 elections. However, this remains his claim and there has been no confirmation from Jagan or the YSRCP that such an alliance is being considered.
The comments are notable because Jagan has not publicly indicated any such plan. The speculation around a possible Congress connection therefore remains unconfirmed.
