Vijayawada despite being one of the biggest cities in the United State never really had its share of pie as the then rulers mostly focused on Hyderabad for various reasons. However with the next state capital coming ‘near’ Vijayawada, the city is all set to get a major infrastructure boost. The city is expected to have widened roads, flyovers and good network of connectivity with Metro Rail etc.
IT projects and several industries are also expected to come in and around the capital and with the growth of industrial cover and increasing options for social life like malls, multiplexes, recreational spots, the living standards of the city are bound to increase and needless to say with all the facilities and amenities coming up, the real estate segment is all set to receive a major boost.
Land rates in and around Vijayawada have increased even before the capital announcement just with the anticipation of having a good chance. Now that the announcement is out, the prices of lands are expected to increase four times. It is said that the prices which used to be around Rs 1 crore per acre prior to the announcement have gone up to Rs 4 crore now and are expected to increase further.
