Set To Join BJP? Vijaysai Reddy’s Sensational Talk!

The BJP appears to be expanding its influence aggressively in both Telugu states. Recently, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat met film personalities in Telangana. Around the same time, former YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy made striking remarks at a gathering of Reddys.

Vijaysai Reddy spoke about protecting Hindu dharma and stopping religious conversions. His comments immediately attracted attention in political and social circles. This came soon after he hinted at a return to active politics in February.

The remarks gained further significance due to his long association with YSRCP chief Jagan. With Jagan following Christianity and several members of the Reddy community being converted Christians, the statements triggered intense debate in Andhra Pradesh.

At the gathering, Vijayasai Reddy used the slogan, come, let’s protect the Hindu dharma. Let’s stop conversions. He said villages historically had kapus, while Reddys emerged as leaders who guided society.

He stated that leadership qualities and the ability to address public and social issues made Reddys popular. According to him, Reddys played a key role in community development. He also said they contributed significantly to the country’s growth.

Calling for action, Vijaysai Reddy urged his associates to work for the nation. He said collective effort was required to put the country on a growth path. His speech drew mixed reactions from attendees.

Later, Vijaysai Reddy shared his views on X. He claimed that foreign entry into the country led to religious conversions. He said such conversions must be stopped at any cost.

He warned that unchecked conversions could erase Hinduism from the country. He compared the potential situation in India to Pakistan and Bangladesh. These remarks further fuelled controversy.

Vijaysai Reddy concluded by urging youth to treat stopping conversions as a revolutionary goal. He reiterated his opposition to conversions. He said he would strive to protect the Hindu dharma.
